Governance Committees
Full-time faculty members, students, and administrators contribute in the decision-making process at the college through participation in the governance process. Governance committees are established in accordance with the MSCA faculty/librarian contract. Governance committees are comprised of administrators assigned by the president, faculty members recommended by the chapter president of the faculty association, and student members recommended by the Student Government Association (SGA).
The attached document contains a listing of MassArt's governance committees for the 2019-2020 academic year, including faculty, administrator and student membership.
Written charges to establish new or revised policies, curriculum, and academic reorganization must be addressed to the chairperson of the All University Committee and submitted to the AUC Recording Secretary, Alice Stanne, in the Office of Academic Affairs.
Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. is an open period when no classes are scheduled. Designated Wednesdays have been reserved for governance, many governance committees meet during this time slot. Please find attached the 2019-2020 Governance Calendar.
