Programs and Initiatives:

Tyrone Maurice Adderley Lecture Series

This lecture series, established in 1995, was named in memory of Tyrone Maurice Adderley, a talented and popular painting student. The series brings artist, writers, scholars, and social justice activists from underrepresented groups to share their work and wisdom with MassArt and the community.

Anti-Racism Dialogues

We invite faculty, staff, and students to participate in the second year of the Anti-Racism Dialogues. Knowing that race and discussions about race are complicated and important, these Anti-Racism Dialogues are rooted in the affinity space approach. These spaces will help us build capacity to relate across difference.

An affinity dialogue group for people who identify as People of Color or of African/Asian/Native American/Afro-Caribbean, Latinx and Afro-Latinx heritage will a create a space for healing and belonging.

An affinity dialogue group for people who identify as White, Caucasian, or of European heritage will create a space for courageous conversations.

Thrive

Participate in campus wide opportunities to help MassArt define what it means when we, our community, are thriving. Develop skills to engage in civil discourse and connect with others across campus who are committed to creating a culture of transformation. Be on the lookout for public ways to contribute your voice!
