3/1/2021 - COVID Operations Update: Testing Site Hours, Test Result Delays, Two Weeks Without a Positive Test

Dear MassArt Community,

Happy Monday, we’ve made it to March!

I want to share just a few quick updates in this email:

  • Testing Site Hours Update

  • Minor Test Results Delays from the Broad Institute

  • Two Weeks, Zero Positive Tests

Testing Site Hours Updated

Starting March 5th, the testing site will close at 3:00pm on Fridays. Additionally, the testing site is closed for appointments from 12-1pm Monday through Friday. Remember to book an appointment so you can be assured that the testing site is operating.

Minor Test Results Delays

Typically, our test results are processed at the Broad Institute very quickly, and we receive the test results in the early morning from the day before. Over the last several days, we have been receiving the test results in the afternoon and evening from the day before. This is no cause for concern, but we want to notify the community to plan accordingly around this.

You should be testing 2-3 days before you are due for your next test to prevent being RESTRICTED from access to campus.

Students and employees who are on campus 3+ days a week and all resident students should be testing every 7 days, to ensure you will stay CLEAR in CoVerified for campus access.

People who are on campus 1-2 days a week or less should be testing every 14 days.

A reminder of the testing frequency is below:

Two Weeks, Zero Positive Tests

Lastly, on a happy note, we can all celebrate the fact that we have not had a positive test in our community for 14 days. Our COVID-19 Campus Dashboard reflects this in the most recent update, however I wanted to specifically highlight this success. This is a major accomplishment that is due to the diligence of each and every one of you. The protocols of distancing, mask wearing, hand washing, and regular testing work to keep us all safe, and I want to thank you all for doing your part.

Take care,
