What is Adobe Creative Cloud?

Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of 20+ desktop and mobile apps and services for photography, design, video, web, UX and more.

What Software is included with Adobe Creative Cloud?

The Creative Cloud All Apps plan includes all desktop applications that are part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. This includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, and many other applications. The license also includes all Adobe Creative Cloud online collaborative tools and Adobe CC mobile apps, along with 100 GB of Adobe Cloud Storage for your Adobe documents.

Who can use Adobe Creative Cloud? 

The Adobe Creative Cloud suite is available to all active students, faculty and staff, at no at no additional cost.

How do I access Adobe Creative Cloud? 

Students, faculty and staff can download Adobe Creative Cloud applications to their personal computers. Please see the How to access Adobe Creative Cloud applications wiki article for instructions on logging in to Adobe Creative Cloud, and downloading and installing applications on personal or institutionally provisioned macOS or Windows computer.

Using Adobe Creative Cloud in a MassArt Computer Lab 

Desktops in MassArt Computer Labs feature the Creative Cloud All Apps Plan under shared device licensing.  Users within labs will be prompted to login with their MassArt credentials to the Adobe Creative Cloud, or can alternately use their own Adobe ID.

Using Adobe Creative Cloud on MassArt Faculty Laptop

MassArt faculty who have been issued laptops will receive access to the the full Creative Cloud All Apps Plan under individual (Named-User) licensing. Named-User licensing provides you with a license allowing you to install and use Creative Cloud on a computer that is used off campus.  Staff who have been assigned a laptop, and demonstrate a documented business need, may also request a Named-User license via a Help Desk Ticket.

Installing the Creative Cloud on a computer provisioned by MassArt 

MassArt laptops are provisioned with the Named User License installed as part of the imaging or re-imaging process.  Tech Central is available to help you upgrade, and you may contact us at x7888 or 

Faculty with Mac laptops can also install the software on their own.

If your Mac laptop has any previous versions of Adobe (prior to Creative Cloud 2020), you will first need remove all current Adobe products.  To do so, please exit all Adobe applications, and then download the MacOS Adobe Uninstall Tool

After previous versions have been removed from your MassArt laptop, you then Download the Adobe Creative Cloud app. After the Creative Cloud app is installed, you can then install any other Adobe product available to MassArt.  If you require assistance along the way, please let us know!  You may also visit Adobe Support where you may Get Assistance with Downloading Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Applications.

Purchasing Adobe Creative Cloud for Home Use

NOTE: Beginning Fall 2020 semester, faculty, staff and students will not be required to purchase home licenses to access the Adobe Creative Cloud suite on a personal computer. Please do not purchase a personal license prior to the start of the Fall 2020 since the College will provide access to Adobe CC at not extra charge
