We are extremely saddened to announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Joseph (Joe) Veglia. Joe has been a beloved member of our Facilities team and served our community campus-wide since 1995.

Howie LaRosee shared this about Joe: “He lived and worked ‘all-in’. His dedication to his family and his job were always evident in any conversation. He took great pride in his family, always talking about the achievements of his daughters and his grandkids, with pictures always accompanying the conversation. He loved his family deeply. Over the past 25 years I have seen Joe accomplish difficult projects with great determination and optimism. As an example: we were once asked to paint the Pozen theater over a weekend, a huge task. Joe worked nonstop and finished the entire job ‘all-in’ and in one day. Joe was great at his job; Joe was great to just talk with; Joe was a great husband, father, grandfather, and just a great person. We will miss his ever-present optimism and enthusiasm.”

Joe is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Janet F. (Powers) Veglia, and his 2 daughters. Our thoughts are with Joe's family, friends, and the many members of our community who are grieving his passing. He will be greatly missed.
