We’re pleased to announce that MassArt’s COVID-19 Campus Dashboard is live, displaying key metrics on the health and safety measures we’re taking to protect our college community. The MassArt metrics displayed in the dashboard, along with comparative metrics from Boston and Massachusetts, will be updated every Wednesday to reflect data from the previous week.
The Campus Dashboard is on hold for the summer.
It was announced Monday April 26th that all students will be required to have received a COVID-19 vaccination prior to the Fall 2021 semester
MassArt is not providing vaccines at this time but we are encouraging and supporting all community members to get the COVID-19 vaccine
Reach out by email or phone 401-281-9332 to our COVID Team if you learn you were in close contact with someone who now has COVID or are experiencing symptoms.
Positive Case: A person who has tested positive for COVID-19 through a SARS-CoV-2 viral diagnostic test.
Close Contact: Someone who was exposed to someone with COVID-19. Usually determined by being within 6 feet of the person with COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more cumulatively, not consecutively.
Positive Test Rate (also called Positivity Rate): The percentage of positive test results out of the total of all tests administered.
Isolation: For someone who has tested COVID positive, it is important for them to stay away from others to avoid transmission of the virus, even if they do not have symptoms. The isolation period is a required 10-day period from the positive test result or the onset of symptoms for someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This is an important public health measure to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
Quarantine: For someone who has been exposed to an individual who has tested COVID positive, it is important for them to stay away from others to avoid potential transmission of the virus, even if they do not have symptoms. The quarantine period is a required 14-day period from the last exposure to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This is an important public health measure to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
Recovered: Individuals who are in our testing program who have recovered after a positive test result for COVID-19 since testing began on August 17, 2020.
